📅 Appointments

Appointments show when and where you are seeing your care team. You can view details, add to your calendar, or request to cancel or reschedule.

To cancel or reschedule, click on the appointment and follow the instructions. If you need to change an appointment close to the date, call the clinic directly.

❓ Patient question: "I need to cancel my appointment tomorrow. How do I do that?"

🤖 AI response: "If your appointment is tomorrow, I recommend calling the clinic directly rather than using the online cancellation to ensure they receive it in time. The phone number is usually in the appointment details. You can also send a message to your care team through the 'Events & messages' section, but they may not see it before your appointment time."

🔐 Access Log

The access log shows who viewed your record, what they looked at, when they looked, and how they accessed (website or integration).

This is a security feature – you can see exactly who has accessed your information. If you see someone you don't recognise, contact the PKB support team.

❓ Patient question: "I see 'PRT PlymouthTestPro' looked at my record. Who is that?"

🤖 AI response: "PRT likely stands for Patient Records Team. This is likely a professional from your renal unit who is involved in your care, such as an administrator or specialist nurse. The access log shows they looked at your care plans and medications – all normal for someone managing your care. If you're ever unsure about who accessed your record, you can message your care team to confirm."

👨‍👩‍👧 Carers & Family

People looking after you: You can invite family members or carers to see your record. They will have access only to what you allow.

People you look after: If you are a carer for someone else, you can request access to their record. This requires their consent.

How to add a carer: Go to Sharing → Friends/Family → Add carer. Enter name and email, choose what they can see, and they will receive an email invitation.

❓ Patient question: "How do I give my daughter access to my record?"

🤖 AI response: "To add your daughter as a carer: 1) Log into PKB, 2) Go to Sharing → Friends/Family, 3) Under 'People looking after me', click Add carer, 4) Enter her name and email address, 5) Choose what she can see (General health is recommended), 6) Click Save. She will receive an email invitation to create her own PKB account and access your record."
